Friday Night SmackDown delivered a night of high-octane action from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, as the road to SummerSlam intensifies. The show featured intense rivalries, shocking twists, and the fallout from a mysterious car accident.

MFT’s Car Accident and Jacob Fatu’s Return

The show began with Adam Pearce, accompanied by law enforcement, investigating a car accident involving Solo Sikoa’s MFT (My Family Team) faction – Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, Talla Tonga, and Tonga Loa. The incident set the stage for a night of chaos and retribution.

Charlotte Flair vs. Raquel Rodriguez

Charlotte Flair faced off against Raquel Rodriguez in a hard-hitting singles match. Both competitors were accompanied by their respective tag team partners, Alexa Bliss and Roxanne Perez. The match was a showcase of strength and agility, with both women trading blows and near falls. Kiana James was spotted in the background having a conversation with Giulia, adding another layer of intrigue to the women’s division.

Alexa Bliss interfered, distracting Rodriguez long enough for Flair to capitalize with a roll-up, securing the victory.

Jacob Fatu Cleared, Confronts MFT

Following the match, police officers approached Adam Pearce, seeking assistance in locating Jacob Fatu in connection to the earlier car crash. Pearce found Fatu, who agreed to cooperate with the authorities.

Later, Solo Sikoa and MFT addressed the car accident, with Sikoa accusing Fatu of being reckless and selfish. However, Jimmy Uso appeared on the Titan Tron with Fatu, who had been cleared of any suspicion thanks to security footage. Fatu stormed to the ring, leading to a brawl between him, Jimmy Uso, and MFT. The chaotic scene ended with Adam Pearce announcing a Steel Cage Match between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship at SummerSlam. Pearce then had the police arrest Sikoa for staging the car crash.

Damian Priest vs. Carmelo Hayes

Damian Priest battled Carmelo Hayes in a highly anticipated singles match. Hayes immediately took the fight to Priest, but Priest quickly turned the tables. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both men showcasing their athleticism and resilience.

Just as Hayes was gaining momentum, Aleister Black appeared and interfered, attacking Priest and causing a disqualification.

The Wyatt Sicks Target the Tag Team Division

A creepy video package aired, featuring The Wyatt Sicks, who declared their intentions to strip the SmackDown tag team division of their vanities and desires, signaling a dark chapter for the tag team landscape.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Alba Fyre

Stephanie Vaquer took on Alba Fyre in a singles contest. Both women went at each other from the start. Vaquer delivered the Devil’s Kiss and then connected with the package backbreaker to secure the victory.

However, the celebration was short-lived, as Piper Niven ambushed Vaquer after the match. Vaquer managed to fight back, but Niven’s Secret Hervice partner prevented her from re-entering the ring.

Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match

Four teams – #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), Rey Fenix & Andrade, Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer), and Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) – battled it out to determine the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
